Congratulations to Tadhg O’Leary Ashford from Coachford and David Giles from Newcestown who both auditioned last Saturday and will be playing Nora’s children in A Doll’s House in The Everyman Theatre Nov 3rd to 6th. Well done!

Welcome to the Dramatricks blog. We hope to keep you up to date with news and events related to Dramatricks.
We’d like to welcome everyone back after the summer break and offer a special welcome to our new pupils. We hope everyone is settling in well and looking forward to upcoming events. Well done to all those who took the London College exams, great results all round! Below are a few points of interest for the coming term:

Every year we ask that you please contact us if your child is unable to attend class. This is really in your child’s interest so do text or ring us if your child is unable to attend.

We would like to remind parents to collect your child on time from his/her class .

Please ensure your child has a plastic A4 folder & copy for class. Your child’s homework and exercises will be written in his/ her copy. Speech exercises are given to produce clear speech. We advise that these exercises are practised regularly.

As the class involves movement please ensure your child has suitable footwear (runners) and wears comfortable clothes to give him/ her freedom to move.

We have launched our website www.dramatricks.com and this blog so you can keep up to date with upcoming events & news.

Mid-term break will be from Monday 26th to Friday 30th October.

Halloween party: each class will have a halloween party during the week prior to mid-term. Children are invited to come to class in costume for spooky games and treats and lots of fun. Please let us know of any food restrictions/ allergies prior to this if you have not already done so on enrolment

Halloween Horrors Camp: we are running halloween camps in Bishopstown and Bandon from Thurs 29th to Sat 31st, 9am to 1pm. Anyone interested please let us know . This is a multi-activity camp for boys & girls aged 5 to 12. Lots of fun & games with a Halloween theme

Camps
For the past 6 years, we have been running drama camps. In Summer 2009 we decided to use our expertise to incorporate drama into a much wider multi-activity camp, Summer Kicks! The range of activities is so diverse that every child will enjoy the camp. we promise to keep every child busy, excited and they guarantee a camp that’s full of fun!
One of the favourite activities was messy mania, especially for kids who love to get messy! In the next camp we promise to make it even messier and more manic!

New activities include: messy manic feet, human bingo, blindfolded obstacle course, human pacman, oh mummy! And lots more fun Halloween themed activities!

Each class will perform in the Christmas concert. Dates will be given out shortly. Parents, friends and grandparents etc all welcome! Bandon classes will take part in the Festive Evening in The Town Hall on Sunday Dec. 6th.

Details on Feis Maitiu competitions and entries will be given out shortly so keep an eye out for them in your child’s folder. The closing date for Feis Maitiu is Wednesday November 25th
