About
Dramatricks was launched in 2003 by sisters Evaleen and Jackie Whelton. Both have a love of drama since an early age and it is this which drives their enthusiasm for teaching Speech & Drama. Both are experienced, competent and caring teachers.
Small class numbers allow them to develop nurturing relationships with their pupils and to cater for individual needs. A testament to this is the amount of pupils who return each year.
Jackie Whelton trained in the Cork School of Music and completed her Associate Teaching Diploma with London College and went on to attain her Licentiate Diploma under the guidance of Mary Curtin. After studying Arts in UCC she was awarded a Masters Degree in Drama and Theatre Studies. Jackie furthered her studies by completing a Higher Diploma in Education in UCC and is currently teaching Drama and English in secondary school as well as teaching Speech & Drama with Dramatricks in the evenings.
Evaleen Whelton also studied Speech & Drama in Cork School of Music and attained her Associate Teaching Diploma with London College. She also studied with Mary Curtain to complete her Licentiate Diploma with London College. Evaleen holds a BComm degree from UCC and also is a graduate of the Marketing Institute of Ireland.
